Decades of Innovation and Client Success

Scott Dennis and Alex Kunczynski, founders of D&K Engineering, met in the early-1990s as they both were earning Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, specializing in Mechatronics and Smart Product Design. After graduating, Scott and Alex initially went their separate ways pursuing their career paths, but ultimately both ended up in Hewlett Packard’s inkjet development organization. One of their responsibilities at HP was to find companies to help HP develop new products and equipment, and in their search, they realized that great development services organizations were hard to find. To Scott and Alex, this was an opportunity. In 1999 they set out to create a top-tier product development and manufacturing company and founded D&K Engineering.

Early on, Scott and Alex set the goals of:

  • Performing truly outstanding work, stretching the limits of D&K Engineering’s creativity and knowledge.

  • Relentlessly pursuing continuous improvement.
  • Delivering on agreed upon commitments.
