Client needed supplier to provide mooring winch development for High Capacity Sea-Base Sustainment program.

D&K Solution:

Analyzed requirements, selected technologies and architected SmartWinch system that met all requirements and included innovative power management system to compensate for tremendous power consumption/generation caused by relative ship-to-ship motion.

Results:

Resulting EnergySmart mooring winch system was widely accepted by military community and will serve as baseline for future EnergySmart winches.
