Client Need:

Client needed a complete integrated solution for the first web-enables Electronic Cash Register (ECR) targeted for the small retailer market. Client needed full electrical, mechanical and software engineering design, development, integration and test of the ECR and its peripherals.

D&K Solution:

Designed and developed all mechanical components of cash register for high volume production while integrating key peripherals such as keyboard and printer components. Designed and developed all electrical circuitry (FPGA-based) and test fixtures for high-volume production of electrical boards. Developed database infrastructure, client web portal and all cash register firmware to deliver best in class functionality.

Results:

Project completed on time and within budget. Prototype design release package completed and prototype units successfully manufactured by Client's contract manufacturer in China.
